A 30 mm crank is the native fit for a BB30 shell. Two 6806 bearings press directly into the 42 mm bore and the 30 mm axle runs on them without any cup.
BB30's retaining circlips must be fully seated in their grooves. A partly seated circlip lets the bearing walk and is a common creak and play source.
