Used on: Shimano road and MTB cranksets, and many third-party 24 mm cranks.
The 24 mm two-piece Shimano crank axle is the most common road and MTB spindle. It is native to threaded BSA, Italian and external T47 shells and to the 41 mm press-fit BB86 and BB92 bores, where a matched bearing carries the axle directly. In a larger 46 mm bore such as PF30, internal T47 or BB386EVO it runs on a reducer bottom bracket that steps the bore down to 24 mm.
