A 30 mm crank is the native fit for a Cannondale PF30A shell. The 46 mm bore takes a pressed cup carrying a 30 mm bearing in the 73 mm asymmetric shell.
PF30A frames use Cannondale's Ai offset rear, so the chainline is shifted 3 mm. Use a crankset built for Ai, or the chain will not align across the cassette.
